Courtney & Danny

Today’s chic Perth wedding is intimate and personal but it’s got a sense of modernity to it, a sense of glamour while being so beautifully understated.

Courtney tells their story, which goes back some time! “We lived across the road from each other in Broome WA when we were kids 20 years ago. I was four and Danny was eight when we met and our families and other siblings soon became close friends and always kept in contact. Years down the track in 2008 we started dating and started our own family welcoming the birth of our first son Riley in 2009 then happily welcomed our second son Nate into the world in 2011.”

The beautifully shot images are from Daniel Price Photography.

Courtney chose a gown from Carla Zampatti and carried a bouquet styled by Floweromance.

Bride + Groom Store planned and styled the wedding, Courtney recalling, “For our ceremony Bride + Groom Store used their beautiful brown Tiffany chairs & a white carpet, Tilopa hung beautiful posies of the aisle chairs, she also used a cute white signing table and two Tiffany chairs for our signing area, this all looked lovely on the grassed area of Heathcote.”

Courtney remarks “Our ceremony was held at 4:00pm on a grassed area on Heathcote Reserve in Applecross looking over the river, was a fantastic location for our photos, lots of different areas around the reserve for Daniel to take some amazing shots.”

“I had my father & step dad walk me down the aisle together – that was really special.” Courtney chose ‘All For Love’ – Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart & Sting, for her walk.

“The weather was looking very gloomy and there was every chance that it could rain and therefore we wouldn’t be able to have the ceremony outside but luckily the weather held out and it was beautiful so we still got to have the ceremony & photos outside, was so happy about this!”

Of their photographer, Courtney says, “Daniel Price is an amazing photographer, we were so so lucky to find him, he takes gorgeous shots and makes the photo process so fun and exciting, he has an amazing eye for photography and such a beautiful person, we highly recommend him! ”

Courtney and Daniel chose a restaurant style reception, Courtney remarking, “Our reception was held in The Private Wine Room at The Bluewater Grill in Applecross, a small and lovely room with lots of character with the wooden floors, fireplace & wine racks. Natalie from The Bluewater Grill & all her staff made the planning process and made the day run so smoothly, I highly recommend a wedding reception at The Bluewater Grill, lovely venue, great staff and delicious food! A+”

Each guest received a sweet treat favor. “We had jars of macarons made for all adults and jars for cookies made for each of the children as our bonbonierres all made by Petitcakes & all guests also got a candy bag & dessert box to fill up and take home for another treat.”

“We purchased handmade photo props off a few companies on Etsy. We purchased two Polaroid cameras and used the props to take pictures with, it was so much fun to do this as we had instant photos printed out within seconds to stick in our photo Guestbook and guests could also take these home. It was a nice touch and fun to play around with.”

Bride + Groom Store decorated the reception & dessert bar also, we had four round tables in the reception room and each were decorated with beautiful flowers, candles & vases, we used Bride + Grooms white Tiffany chairs throughout the room.”

“Our dessert bar was styled by Bride + Groom, it was full of cupcakes, tarts, chocolates, Candy, Macarons, Cookies – Bride + Groom organized most of the sweets on the dessert table and we also had some cookies made by PetitCakes & ROC Candy made with our initials.”

A family member made the two tier wedding cake.
