I have a love/hate relationship with Melbourne’s trams. I love their history, their iconic nature, the way the older-style trams smell of leather and wood. I do have issues with the snail-like traffic they can create, and don’t even get me started about MyKi. But as an original resident of WA, the trams are something of a national treasure to me, and also to all the tourists who pile into the City Loop line, with the bell ringing and the muffled announcement of the stops by the driver.  So when a bride steps into a tram, the image becomes itself iconic. It says contemporary, it says Melbourne, it says cool.
