Brittany & Jeremy

Brittany & Jeremy certainly had themselves a romantic wedding and something about the landscape of Maleny always screams romance to me! The couple followed their Maleny ceremony with a beach side reception – the best of both worlds!

Brittany tells how they met. “We met through mutual friends camping at Stanthorpe; it was love at first sight and we have been attached to each other ever since. ”

Hair and makeup was by Hair 4 Brides & Makeup 4 Brides. Brittany remarking, “Kerrie from Hair 4 Brides and Lisa from Make up 4 Brides did an amazing job, they were professional and amazing. They did a wonderful job on myself, mum and bridesmaids and were getting us ready from 5:30 in the morning. I unfortunately woke up two days prior with full blown conjunctivitis, Lisa still made me feel beautiful on my day and for that I can’t thank her enough. “.

Brittany remembers, “I only found out afterwards but the best man had forgotten to bring pants for the wedding, Jeremy had to take him to the shops up at the Caloundra the day before the wedding, half an hour they closed to find some.”

“The night before the wedding my mum snuck into my room and put a beautiful pair of earrings on my pillow, when it was getting closer to the wedding I couldn’t afford anything expensive and settled with something cheap, but to be surprised like that made me feel so happy and special and helped me shed a few more pre wedding tears.”

Brittany chose a gown from La Bella Moda with her bridesmaids wearing floor length floral gowns from Forever New,

Little White Wedding Church set the backdrop for the Maleny ceremony, Brittany explaining, “We had the ceremony at the Little White Wedding Church at Maleny, it is a beautiful little chapel that perfectly fit all our guests. Trevor was a pleasure to work with and even hires out a white Jaguar for couples that get married at the church – it was a perfect prop for a photo; everything was well thought out and organised for us.”

Brittany walked down the aisle to, “An adaptation of “Here comes the bride” provided by the Little White Wedding Church.”

Of their photographer, Brittany says, “Our photographers – Jaimee and Saul were amazing, I can’t describe how above and beyond they went to make us feel special. Photography was one of the most important things for me and Jaimee and Saul were there the entire day and captured every moment. The biggest thing for me was to make my groom feel comfortable which they did and we were able to get to know them before hand at the engagement shoot. The photos speak for themselves on how amazing Jaimee and Saul are.”

Tides Waterfront Dining hosted the reception, Brittany remarking, “For the reception we were at Tides Waterfront Dining, they served us a very delicious and beautiful three course meal, they made the reception flow well and the food came out in perfect timing. The waiters constantly kept everyone’s drinks topped up and provided us with a microphone, cake and present table, and even some of the decorations. They constantly kept me informed and provided us with many menu choices. We mostly loved the atmosphere the restaurant gave, it was intimate but still allowed our guests to get up and mingle, the view was the perfect backdrop and the verandah was the perfect dance floor.”

“Hearing everyone’s speeches, we allowed for free speech at our wedding and it is so special to see who got up and had something to say about you, or advice, somethings will always stick with us, for example Jeremy’s grandmother told us that everyone always says that a marriage is 50/50 but it isn’t, it is 100% from both sides; and of course Jeremy had a lot of people tell him a happy wife equals a happy life.”

The first dance was somewhat of a surprise, Brittany recalling, “Jeremy originally had me convinced that we wouldn’t have a first dance, he was too left footed and uncoordinated and even though I was disappointed he gave me everything else I wanted for the wedding. After finishing dancing to “Daddy’s Hands” with my dad I was surprised to see Jeremy come straight up to us, shake my dad’s hand and look over to his brother who changed the song to Michael Buble’s “Everything.” He gave me the surprise I wasn’t expecting and a first dance I will never forget.”

Brittany and her mother made the wedding cake together, Brittany remarking, “I loved making my cake with my mum, it was so much fun preparing and listening to everyone’s comments was even better. We made individual brownies which were stacked on a cupcake tier. Tides Waterfront Dining served them with vanilla bean ice cream and berry compote.”
