Alana and Jacob

I love how different weddings can be – a rustic country wedding one day to a chic classic wedding the next! Alana and Jacob’s wedding (captured by gm photographics) was a classic black tie celebration with a traditional church ceremony, a beautiful reception and a love story that is theirs to tell.

Jacob and his groomsmen suited up with attire from Hugo Boss.

Alana chose a gown from Karen Willis Holmes with blush pink Alan Pinkus shoes.

Buds and Bowers created the floral arrangements for the day using a colour palette of whites and cream.

Alana and Jacob were married at Cardinal Cerretti Chapel. Alana walked down the aisle to “Kissin You” by Des’ree.

Alana remembers, “Trust my darling husband to muck-up the words of our wedding vows.. “awful wedded wife” was what he said if I remember correctly! Had the entire ceremony in hysterics.”

Of their photographer, Alana says, “They were fun, energetic and captured our every moment.”

Alana and Jacob chose Sergeants Mess for their wedding reception.

Something About Cake made the wedding cake based off a design by Alana’s sister to match Alana’s wedding dress.

Piano Man – Scott Finnie led a classical touch to the reception celebrations.

The first dance paid homage to the couple’s proposal. Alana recalling, “We had a magical engagement in Central Park, Manhattan, so our first dance was to an instrumental version of Empire State of Mind – the place where is all began!”

Congratulations Alana and Jacob! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to gm photographics for sharing today’s wedding with us!
