polka-dot-hot-spotPolka Dot Hot Spot! The subjects I shy away from, the subjects I’d rather hide from, come out in their glory for a decent discussion!

This month’s hot spot is all about ceremony and reception guest lists – in a way it’s a bit like an A list or B list! Are you inviting some guests to the ceremony only and not the reception? What do you think of the idea? How would you execute it? And lastly, do you think it’s rude, or just plain sensible?

I think it’s pretty rude, why exclude certain people from the ceremony or reception. If you’re happy to share the ceremony with them, then let them have a drink and some eats with you too. I’ve also never understood why people would exclude people from the ceremony but happily have them come and celebrate afterwards, I went to a wedding where most guests were not present at the ceremony, and it didn’t feel like a wedding at all, it could have been an engagement or birthday party even.
