As much as I love seeing a designer evolve with each new collection, I also love discovering new ones – meet Sarah Joseph Bridal Couture. A Canberra based designer who works to create elegant gowns with a bit of a twist inspired by the romantic and sensual feeling of flower and corded Italian and French laces.

Having studied her craft in England, training with designers such as Tom Ford, Alex Perry and Stephanie Farrin, Sarah uses traditional British corsetry and tailoring techniques but has almost an rock an roll, avant garde style to her work while still being completely wearable for brides. Sarah works on creating unique pieces- from custom designing laces and silks to intricate beading and appliques. She proclaims she has no one distinct style, instead designing  based on what her feeling is. Her adventures across the globe – dressing London celebrities to Bollywood stars have influenced her work, lending a show stopping red carpet feel to many of her designs.

Sarah Joseph Bridal Couture designs and creates the gowns in Australia and loves working with brides to create custom garments that are truly one of a kind.
