A whirlwind week, a week filled with trips, DIY, fun and frivolity for the Polka Dot Bride family (Mr Herringbone’s b’day, Ms Gingham off galavanting in Bali, a wedding this weekend and much more). So it’s no wonder I feel a happy sigh for the weekend as it rolls around again. Though to be fair, the Melbourne Cup did give us Melbournians a chance to break up the week and enjoy a cheeky Tuesday rest, so it’s not been all go go!
Hopefully your week has been as mixed and varied as ours, and to add to it, why not enjoy the wealth of posts from our specialty blogs, with some extra special giveaways just for our readers – yes, just for you! So enjoy the Friday Roundup!

A truly gorgeous video for you today – something a bit different that celebrates love in a refreshingly fun way! The talented team from Soymilk Studio created this stop motion animation for a bridesmaid’s speech to her best friend who was getting married. It tells the story around the bridesmaid and the bride, how they met, their travels, highs and lows. Using traditional techniques such as 2D animation and cut outs mixed in with handcrafted sets. Enjoy!
