I don’t think I can convey how happy today’s strawberry fields wedding inspiration shoot made me. Apart from the fact that strawberries are right up there on favourite foods (topped only in the fruit category by cherries and lychees) there is something homespun and gorgeous about the atmosphere in the following photos.

Choosing a different space to celebrate in – in this case a strawberry field and playing off it by adding red and white gingham fabric, delicious lollies, red and white strawberry inspired stationery  and of course plenty of laughter and fun makes my heart happy and that, that is what a wedding, a marriage is about.

The team, headed up by hair and makeup artist The Beauty Case (who also came up with the concept!) and photographer Ale & Kim Photography wanted to create a setting that was outside the usual rustic barn venue. They chose a working strawberry farm, Khesanh of The Beauty Case noting “The inspiration image I had been a single strawberry with an engagement ring on it. Everything went from there. We didn’t want too much vintage chic/barnyard it was just simply styling that any bride could do with the help of professionals Moments in Vintage and Jasper and Ruby .

Fox & Fallow created the strawberry inspired stationery and complimented the styling with beautifully drawn chalk art. Moments in Vintage styled the scenes as well as providing the props for the setup.

The “bride” wore a delicate hairpiece by Birdsnest Bridal and a lace wedding gown from  Begitta Bridal & Couture.

Ginger Lily and Rose created the floral arrangements for the day- white and red complimented with shades of blue, yellow and plenty of greenery.

Marie’s Sweets Table created the sweets setup using an old ladder and crates, plenty of glass and tarnished silverware and a palette of red and white.

The team worked with Jasper and Ruby  to create a wedding film of the day.
