If there is an Australian designer who does evening glamour well- its Rachel Gilbert.
Always with advanced styling and classic shapes with something a little extra. From sparkling, shimmering fabrics, peplum waists, glistening net overlays and bold, on trend colours there are always plenty of designs that are modern without being intimidating.
The Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, titled “Serenity” was inspired by romance with a sense of peace and clarity. Colours like black, pistachio, blush pinks and apricot inject beautiful pastel, soft shades into the collection. Sparkling textured fabrics, hand beading and masses of sequins, beads and crystals add sparkle and romance to the pieces along with laser cut blooms against sharply cut necklines and features.
The collection starts to hit stores from February 5th.

Of course, I love Rachel’s choice of colours this season. Classic black, especially as we head into winter is always beautiful but this season adds sunset, lavender, pistachio and blush pinks. All bridesmaid worthy or for the bride who isn’t interested in wearing white.
