Nicole and Dylan

Oh I adore the pine forest back drop of Nicole and Dylan’s engagement shoot. The trees that reach to the sky, the golden light and the joy between these two warmed my heart on this cold May day! The images, captured by Juddric Photography  are such a stunning memento of Nicole and Dylan’s story. Nicole and Dylan are planning a rustic style wedding so wanted to incorporate the shots into their day, taking photographs at Toorbul Pine Forest, a place where Nicole spent a lot of time as a child.

Nicole tells their story. “I (Nicole) started at a new school and I had just made a new bunch of friends. Dylan (who I didn’t really know at the time, we only had mutual friends and were in a few classes together) invited me to his 16th birthday because he wanted to get to know me. We then started to spend some time together after his party and then about 2 months later we had started dating.”

On their love for each other, Nicole notes, “There are way too many things to list about what we love about each other! But one of the biggest reasons is that we are completely opposite people, he is a very outdoorsy and adventurous person, where I would rather be doing something quiet and relaxing. But we will still always do whatever we can to keep each other happy, ever if that means that I have to go scuba diving, surfing or even rock climbing and that Dylan has to sit with me by the pool or just have a lazy Sunday afternoon movie.”

The story of how Dylan proposed is one of Nicole’s favourite memories, she remembers, “Dylan took me to the one place I had wanted to go my whole life, Disneyland.

We had gone to the night time firework show and Dylan was trying to take me to a nice quiet area so that he could ask me in private, but unaware of what he had planned I was determined to get the best view possible of the fireworks.

So after a lot of disagreeing I had won and we went and stood in the biggest crowd of people, Dylan had no choice really than to just hold the ring in front of my face and ask me that way because he wasn’t able to get down on one knee and it was too loud to hear anything else.”

These two spend their life together laughing, Nicole recalling, “One of the funniest stories would have to have been when we traveled to America and we had bought a deal for a tour of the West Coast of America and we were unaware that we had booked an all Chinese speaking tour, wasn’t entirely funny at the time – but definitely a funny one now!”
