With Spring comes beautiful garden weddings, with warm Sunshine and freshly opened blooms there is no better place to wed.

From coastal estates, inner city, manicured gardens, English style country manors – the choices are wide and varied for a garden wedding in New South Wales! Here’s just some of my favourites (Also check out our Ten Garden Wedding Venues In Victoria).

Bells At Killcare

If you’re looking for a garden wedding venue up the coast then Bells At Killcare might be just the ticket. It’s only 1.5 hours north of Sydney, has accommodation, spa and restaurant on site and beautiful manicured gardens for your ceremony.

Chinese Gardens Of Friendship

One of my favourite places to head to when in Sydney, the Chinese Gardens Of Friendship is an inner city oasis which has such beautiful backdrops for a wedding (and they can even serve celebratory bubbles). The various pavilions and spaces can accommodate 120 guests for a wedding ceremony and The Blue Room can hold guests for a small daytime reception.

Poachers Pantry

Couples near Canberra can enjoy the beauty of Poachers Pantry for their wedding day. The all in one venue allows couples to marry in the stunning country gardens (look at that incredible Golden Elm tree) and celebrate in the onsite cafe or marquee. The food at Poachers is often raved about so really, every box is ticked.

Lions Gate Lodge, Royal Botanic Gardens

I love using the Royal Botanic Gardens of any city for a wedding. They are such hidden gems and often have the most beautifully maintained gardens. Lions Gate Lodge, Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney provides a stunning garden wedding setting plus the adjoining lodge can be used as a reception space. There are so many stunning spots within the gardens, each with their own character and feeling (like the rose garden used at Renee and Mark’s  simply elegant wedding).

Jonahs Whale Beach

If you can’t decide between a garden setting and an incredible view, then I think Jonahs Whale Beach has both covered. Marrying in the beautiful coastal garden overlooking the ocean and cliffs is rather magical and Jonahs offers a beautiful ceremony location but also a decadent menu with all the trimmings for your guests to enjoy for the celebrations.

Summerlees Country House

From the get go Summerlees Country House is easy to fall in love with – tree lined pathways always win my heart and this venue has plenty of them.  There’s eight acres of stunning gardens on this 70 acre property which also houses guest accommodation and various buildings including the reception ballroom with outdoor courtyard.

Vaucluse House

Closer to the city is Vaucluse House. This 19th century mansion overlooks Sydney Harbour has stunning gardens which can hold from 20-120 for a garden ceremony.  The adjoining tearooms make for a wonderful reception venue. Couples can marry in the “Lone Pine Lawn” on which of course, sits the property’s lone pine.

Secret Garden Byron Bay

Let’s be honest, gardens around Byron Bay is pretty much worthy of it’s own post, but I had to sneak this one into this list! Secret Garden Byron Bay takes a tropical style garden, complete with palms and turns it into a wedding ready venue. In the heart of Byron Bay, this beautifully kept garden keeps palm trees, a mango tree, African Boab trees and even cactus plants amongst it’s collection. The onsite pavilion seats 120 guests or you can enjoy the 1700sqm of landscaped gardens.

Montrose Berry Farm

Montrose Berry Farm is one of those venues that has it all. Romantic gardens, beautiful cottage accommodation, a stunning barn for the post ceremony celebrations, berry vines (fancy berry picking as a guest activity?) and plenty of flexibility to really make the venue your own (including the ability to dine with your guests under the stars.)

Clark Island

A garden wedding in the middle of the harbour? Meet Clark Island! Literally overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge this boat only accessible island makes such a fun wedding venue. Have your guests arrive by ferry before marrying with the city or the bridge as your backdrop. There’s a maximum capacity of 150 and various ceremony spots with different outlooks for you and your guests to enjoy.
