Happy Monday Dotties! Considering we’re in the second week of November you’d think we could get a little constant temperature with the weather! How are your wedding plans and wedding excitements going? I am so ready for a full week of wedding inspiration this week, checking things off my list and devouring every single photo!
As we do every week, we start everything off with the fabulous members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory We have Transport we have Photography, we have Entertainment, we even have Cakes! We work really hard to get vendors on board who are lovely – the kind who get excited about your plans and share a glass of champagne with you while discussing them!
Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!
I love the steady hand of a good makeup artist. The type who won’t have to re do my eyeliner three times because her hands shake (also known as doing my makeup myself) so I am a big fan of the talented wedding makeup artists we have come to know here at Polka Dot Bride and I’m excited to introduce you to one of them –Nico Harry Event Makeup ! Our vendor of the week!
Nico Harry’s life passion lies in makeup! She has been working (and teaching!) as a makeup artist on television, runways and of course weddings for many years with her work featured on Australia’s Next Top Model, NW, TV Week and even celebrities like Guy Sebastien, Ada Nicodemou and Susie Porter! Nico offers a mobile makeup service, coming to you on your wedding day and uses only high quality products like Giorgio Armani, Makeup Forever, Hourglass, MAC and Nars.
We asked Nico of Nico Harry Event Makeup five questions in five minutes –

Your favourite wedding story?
This story is from my own wedding. We got married when my daughter Olivia was 2 years old. She came to the wedding but she had a sitter take her during the reception. Halfway through the night, my sister whispered in my ear ‘don’t panic but I’m popping off to take Olivia to hospital’ She had in all the excitement fallen and cut her head on a coffee table. 3 stitches and my sister missed the rest of the reception. I didn’t panic at all and still had a great night knowing she was in good hands!
