Andrew and Amy
He proposed with a surprise weekend away for the October long weekend (My Birthday weekend) to Port Douglas – organised a private table at Nautilus Restaurant and gave me my birthday present when we sat for dinner and it was a large box. Unwrapped the box, and it was full of tissue paper which when I got to the bottom of it there was the ring box. I thought it was a pair of earrings for my birthday. I placed the box on the table and he bent down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was amazing! Breathtaking! He had flown to Brisbane the week prior to ask my father in person for my hand in marriage.
I walked down the aisle to Trumpet Tune and Ayre Henry Purcell (placed by the strings and organist).
The wedding was everything I could have imagined and more. Exceeded all expectations! I want to do it all again!
Simon Gorges was the main photographer from gm photographics – in total there were 4 photographers including the videographer. They were great – they didn’t get in the way and captured the moments in a natural way without looking staged.
I loved the the floral arrangement above the bridal table.
The whole thing was pretty much a surprise for Andrew – we walked into the reception and said WOW… I know what you have been doing over the past 6 months! So much effort! He couldn’t believe it.
The wedding was very much my personal style.
I loved the band at the reception – the entire wedding was up dancing on the dance floor before entrees were even served.
Our first dance was to Elton John ‘Your Song’ – Traditional Wedding Waltz.
Ms Gingham says: Stunning from start to finish!
