The George Wu “Wulfila’s Message” 2015 Bridal Collection with its incredible lace detailing, opulent fabrics, finely tailored bodices and skirts and dreamy silhouettes is enough to take your breath away.
The collection, draws inspiration from Pagan philosophy of recognising the divine in the natural world and the power of women as goddesses. The collection has a juxtaposition between the magic of nature, the garments combining rustic, organic lace with delicate, romantic silhouettes and fabrics.
What I love about this collection is its incredibly beautiful fabric combinations on almost ethereal style silhouettes. The tones of of ivory, nude and neutral blend seamlessly into one another. Beautiful flower appliques placed over naturally hued long sleeve gowns, netted style sleeves peaking out from softly draped v necklines. Each piece hand crafted using couture techniques. These are gowns that look as beautiful and wistful in a beach wedding setting as they would at a formal black tie occasion – the sophistication is evident.
