Kayla & Jason

These romantic rainforest engagement photos from Gabriela Ana Weddings are beautiful – a spot hidden an hour away from any form of civilization suited two nature lovers Kayla and Jason’s engagement photos beautifully – who can resist golden light and waterfalls as a location?

Kayla tells the story of how they met. “We met through a mutual friend at a Chinese restaurant and met three more times through that friend before Jason traveled overseas for two years (apparently he forgot my name so when he would ask his friend about me he would say “so how is my future wife?” Little did he know how true that would be!). We kept in contact while he was overseas and he promised he would take me out to have a coffee once he came back home to Australia. He arrived back home bought a car so he could take me out and called me a week later to ask me out.”

The stunning rainforest location of the shoot took over an hour to walk to, Kayla noting, “We love the outdoors. Many of our first dates where hiking through the bush and camping under the stars.”

On what she loves about Jason, Kayla notes, “I love his honesty and the way he always compliments me, regardless of how I look.”

On what he loves about Kayla, Jason says, ” I love her smile and laugh – that picturesque image and sound that makes everything worthwhile.”

The proposal took place in one of the most isolated parts of Australia! The story going, “Whilst cycling solo across Australia raising money for premature babies Jason (husband to be) suited up and proposed to the love of his life overlooking the Great Australian Bight. Kayla (wife to be) patiently drove behind Jason for 4000kms and could not tell anyone that she was engaged for the 3 days it took to cross the Nullarbor. After proposing, Kayla had to help Jason up as he could not stand from his knelt position.”
