Sam & Michael
I love today’s engagement photos – not least because they took place in a macadamia orchard. How is that for a very cool backdrop? Kylie of Just For Love Photography spent an afternoon with Sam and Michael, finding a little hidden spot on a Sunshine Coast road that had a macadamia orchard on one side and a pine forest on the other.
Michael and Sam tell their story. “We are true high school sweethearts, dating for almost ten years. Neither of us can remember specifically our first date, except that it probably involved a Saturday night movie and some ice-cream.”
On what she loves about Michael, Sam says, “I love how Michael can make me laugh, I love his laugh and his sweet, kind-hearted nature.”
The proposal was most unexpected for Sam, who tells, “After almost ten years together, I had started to give up on Michael proposing. One weekend, he surprised me with a weekend away in Noosa, QLD. We went kayaking out to a deserted sandbar where he got out on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I said yes of course!”
On what he loves about Sam, Michael says, “I love that we have so many fun memories together and cannot wait for our future as husband and wife!”
