A forest wedding has a special kind of peace to it. The woodlands that surround you, their stories of hundreds of years enveloping you and guests as you say your wedding vows.

The best part is, in a country like Australia where national parks are here, there and everywhere it’s easy to find one that will accommodate your wedding. However to give a helping hand, I’m rounding up nine forest wedding ceremony locations I love, for you today.

Bilpin Resort, Bilpin

Bilpin Resort has to be one of the first on our list after Frances & Cory’s Magical Pine Forest Wedding. The resort is set up on 43 acres with on site cabins for your guests. The really special part of Bilpin Resort however goes by the name of “The Secret Circle”, a spot hidden in the middle of the property’s pine forest, allowing couples to be married literally surrounded by the forest.

Wedding receptions can also be held with various positions around the property able to cater for guests.

Anna and Darren’s Colourful Western Australian Wedding introduced us to the Australian forest backdrop that is William Bay Country Cottages. The venue, twenty minutes away from the Western Australian town of Denmark, has plenty of on site accommodation and a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony of the nearby forest of Karri and Peppermint trees or within the neighbouring William Bay National Park.

This Queensland venue is built to make the most of its rainforest surroundings. I know I know, a little more city based than the other options on our list, but not everyone can get married in the country! Amy & Daniel’s Chic Garden Cafe Wedding started with a ceremony in a forest of Melaleuca trees, but the pine forest area is always one of my favourites – one can hardly believe it’s so close to the city.

Kuitpo Forest, Meadows

Kuitpo Forest, Meadows is one of South Australia’s hidden gems. Full of spectacular Eucalyptus trees, the forest is all about the beautiful South Australian landscape. Plus there are plenty of wineries nearby for your reception!

It seems the more trees that surround you, the more mystical a forest wedding space becomes. Allview Escape, Blue Mountains has on site accommodation and plenty of space for your reception, but what is the shining star is the ability to get married in the forest of the Blue Mountains.

Boomerang Farm, Mudgeeraba

A farm with a rainforest? meet Boomerang Farm. Located on the Gold Coast this venue has the best of both worlds. The farm has a rainforest chapel allowing you to marry in among the greenery, before celebrating in the on site barn and lawns for your wedding reception. Boxes ticked? I think so!
