Natalie & Jake
The Adelaide Hills are a beautiful place to be in the colder months – bare branches, golden trees, the misty fog. So Natalie and Jake’s Autumn Adelaide Hills engagement photos snapped by Jnvphotography captures everything I love about my favourite season.
Natalie tells the story of how she met Jake. “We met at an Irish pub in Adelaide which we both had not been to in years. I had a broken foot but I was still out to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Jake saw me sitting down and shyly came up to me. His pick up line was ‘Hi, you look pretty’. After chatting for two hours we exchanged numbers and the rest is history.”
“We love the Adelaide Hills as it is one of our favorite weekend spots. The hillside scenery is very relaxing and we truly love being in the outdoors. We thought the location best represented our love of the outdoors and Jnvphotography captured this moment perfectly.”
On what she loves about Jake, Natalie tells, “I love Jake’s beautiful heart and his big blue eyes. I love the way he lets me be myself and always encourages me to follow my dreams. He is truly my soul mate.”
One of the couple’s favourite memories involves dressing for an occasion, Natalie remembers, “Jake and I decided one night to randomly dress up as Mexicans and go to a Mexican restaurant. We rocked up with ponchos, sombreros and mustaches and the staff did not know whether to take us seriously. In the end they loved us. I think Jake’s terrible Mexican accent won them over!. It was such a funny night. We are thinking of going to a Japanese restaurant next dressed in traditional Japanese attire and hopefully the staff will be just as accommodating.”
Of the proposal, Natalie remembers, “Jake took me for a surprise weekend getaway, for Valentines Day, to the Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast. After spending a great day by the pool, Jake proposed to me over a candle light dinner in a private cabana over looking the beautifully lit up pool of the hotel. It was so romantic and truly memorable.”
On what he loves about Natalie, Jake tells, “I love Natalie’s smile, laugh and kind spirit. I love her fiery passion and sense of adventure. She is definitely is the one for me.”
