fabric-garland

This rustic fabric garland is super-easy to make and looks very pretty hanging on the wall, in trees or on fences. It would be perfect for a boho outdoorsy wedding.

I also had a thought while I was making it, that it might be very cute as a skirt for a flower girl! Just saying……

You will need:

– A piece of thick cord. I used a 75cm piece from Spotlight.

– A variety of fabrics in complimentary colours. To get this rustic look (and to save time!) grab fabrics that can tear into strips so you don’t need to cut them, such as calico.

– Scissors.

– Something to hang the cord such as strong tape or plastic hooks.

Cut/tear the fabric into strips. I made 4cm wide x 50cm long strips.

Tie the strips onto the cord.

And that’s it! Super simple and very pretty.

Ms Chinoiserie Says: WOW – so easy and I love the soft, gelato colours! A garland in colour pops of yellow, orange and fuschia would be fun for summer too!
