Happy Monday Dotties! Did you have a sunshine filled weekend? I am a little jealous of Ms Chinoiserie today, enjoying her break in a warmer holiday destination, because as much as I adore Winter I’m quite liking the idea of a bit of sunshine!

And lucky Queensland brides you have Matthew Evans Photography to take your wedding photographs. With backdrops of waterfalls, cane fields and palm trees just a part of your story, and then there’s that particular North Queensland light! We asked Matthew of Matthew Evans Photography five questions in five minutes:
What is your favourite after five drink?
At knock off time I love to sit back and enjoy a Coopers Pale Ale. A fantastic beer from Australia’s only family-owned brewery!
Your favourite weekend getaway?
We’re spoilt in Far North Queensland, there are so many options! My absolute favorite weekend getaway is Fitzroy Island though. It’s an absolute paradise and only 45 min away on the ferry. The resort is relaxing and the ocean is always crystal clear.
Favourite restaurant?
I can’t go past On the Inlet in Port Douglas. It’s located, as the name suggests, on the inlet overlooking the beautiful water of Port Douglas. The seafood there is 2nd to none!
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Vivo’s in Palm Cove. Right on the beach and walking distance from my house. It’s the perfect place to unwind with my wife and our Border Collie ‘Taco’ after a hectic Saturday wedding.
Your favourite wedding story?
I get to shoot too many diverse weddings, but my favorite was a wedding I shot in Palm Cove. He was from England she was from Canada, they were backpacking Australia together for 12 months in a Van. They arrived in Australia in January with the wedding dress and the rings and after 6 months of travel they wed on the beach at Palm Cove where a few family and friends gathered from all over the world. After the wedding they continued to travel for 6 months before returning to England. I felt so privileged to be capturing their very special day!
