If there is one thing designer Vera Wang does well, it’s surprises. From the vivid poppy red gowns, the fuchsia pink collection, the very first addition of black details and now – the Spanish inspired Fall 2016 collection.
The Fall 2016 collection is full of dramatic, sensual gowns that push the boundaries of bridal wear. Described simply by Vera as “From Carmen to The Infanta. All extraordinary women with extraordinary lives.” Even the slim cut gowns have added drama- a shoulder bow here, hand appliqued Chantilly lace there, a bubble hemline with silk flowers inside. This is a collection that shouts it’s grandeur from afar.
High low hemlines, illusion sleeves, sheer waistbands, detailed passementiere and plenty of black feature heavily. Ruffled skirts, ostrich feathers and billowing tulle all add to the sense that these gowns are definitely the choice for the bride who wants to make nothing less than a statement.
The Vera Wang Fall 2015 Collection will be available in Australia from April 2016 onward.
