Whilst there are some traditions that you can choose to follow, planning your wedding to include things that are special to you both as a couple is so important as Michelle remembers about her happy summer wedding to Adam.
“We really made the wedding reflect who we are. We didn’t necessarily follow traditional wedding rules. We did what felt natural for us and because of that the whole night just flowed.”
“After the ceremony we had a little bar set up with mini Prosecco bottles. The guests had a drink and listened to an acoustic guitar player while we had our photos. We then had a bus to transport everyone from the ceremony to the reception. The guests said the party continued from the beginning of the ceremony to the end of the reception – it was so much fun!”
“I also think the way we structured the food helped create a party atmosphere. We started with serving canapés on the balcony while the sun set over the ocean. We then moved inside for mains and speeches. We followed with our first dance and fireworks. After the fireworks everyone was in such a party mood and we served canapé style desserts.”
