What is your favourite wedding theme?
I adore an all white wedding with a classic vintage theme. Lots of crystal, chandeliers, bowls of full blown white flowers, Tiffany chairs and an elegant setting.
What inspires you?
I am inspired almost daily by everything I see! It could be couture or street fashion, an old movie, or artwork in a gallery. I draw my inspiration from my surroundings and my travels.
What is special about weddings to you?
The vow ceremony always moves me. Weddings are when two people commit to build a life and a family together. I think this is an important fact that can be somewhat forgotten during the whole planning process.
What do you love about styling and decoration?
Everything! As a designer I love to style and decorate my entire life. My collections, my showroom, my home, the list is endless. I love to plan a look and bring the look together. It is the fine details that really make the difference.
What is your favourite image of all time?
Any image of the Amalfi coast, Paris or the South of France.
What book are you reading at the moment?
I am trying to read Kate Betts’ ‘Paris’ but just do not have the time! Since having my two young sons I actually don’t have time to read. Unless you count the “home readers” that my son brings home from school?
What is your Number 1 tip for brides and grooms?
On your wedding day be sure to walk away from your congregation and take ten minutes completely alone, just the two of you to really enjoy the moment. My husband and I did this and it always remains a special memory to us.
What is the one tool of your that you can’t live without?
My desktop Mac
What is your resolution for this year?
To work less and spend more time with my family.
What are you excited about right now?
Working less and spending more time with my family!! I was very excited to launch my new 2016 ‘Enchantment’ collection and now that this is completed I am looking forward to our next family holiday and Saturdays with my boys once more.
What is a special personal talent you possess?
Outside of work and designing, sketching and styling – I would say decorating my home, baking and generally homemaking! Creating a lovely home is a talent that I inherited from my mother and pride myself on.
Where is your favourite place to escape to for downtime and why?
I love to visit Italy and also France and not just travel but stay for a week or more in a destination and soak up the local culture and lifestyle. But the best way to get away easily and really enjoy myself with my boys is a trip to Noosa. We go every year. It has everything we need for a great family vacation.
