Yolande & CK
Yolande and CK’s relaxed Adelaide engagement photos started out with exactly what they love to do – have a good coffee at their favourite local cafe. I think traditions like this are my absolute favourite for an engagement shoot. Two people so very much in love in their natural element so to speak. Jess Kaucz – Mapleberry Photography captured their day.
Yolande tells the story of how they came to be. “We actually met on the dance floor. I accidentally bumped into him and we ended up having a dance. I was there with a friend who was wanting to go home and luckily he grabbed my number before I left with her! We exchanged a few messages and he convinced me to go on a coffee date – and it went from there!”
On what she loves about CK, Yolande notes, “I love his intelligence, his sense of humor and his kindness to others.”
The proposal was just as peaceful and as romantic as the couple themselves, CK telling the story. “I came home from completing a chartered accounting exam and asked her if she wanted to go out for a coffee at the beach. It was quite a windy day and just a little too cold for the occasion. Nevertheless, she indulged me and put on some warm clothes. We sat, drank our coffee and watched the waves for awhile. I took her down to the beach to walk along the sand. It was there when I turned to her with a ring in my hands, and I asked her if she would like to be my person and spend the rest of her life with me. She said yes.”
On what he loves about Yolande, CK tells, “I love her big big heart, her gorgeous smile and her brilliant mind.”
