Kira & Matt
I love Kira and Matt’s coral and peach Perth wedding. The couple chose a first look, weaving their way beautifully throughout the adventures of their wedding day. They chose DeRay and Simcoe Photographers to capture their day.
On how they met, Kira remembers, “We met at a friend’s barbeque and have been inseparable ever since.” The couple chose a warm October Perth day for their wedding celebrations.
Kira chose a gown by Dion for Brides , telling, “It was exactly what I’d dreamed of, it was the second dress I tried on and straight away I knew it was the one! The lace back sold it!”
The couple chose to meet for a first look, Kira remembering, “The reveal was one of our favourite parts of the day, we loved having that special moment to ourselves.”
Kira and Matt chose Harold Boas Gardens for their wedding ceremony, hiring pieces from Pretty Willow Prop Hire to complete the space.
Kira walked down to the aisle to Jack Johnson’s “Angel”.
Jodi Bavin officiated the ceremony, Kira recalling, “Our ceremony represented our personalities – fun and nothing too serious. We had the perfect amount of tears and laughter. Even our fur baby “Cooper” decided to take a dip in the pond which added some more humour to our special day.”
Of their photographers, Kira remarks, “Diane and Amber were very easy to work with. We chose them because of their eclectic style. They were here, there and everywhere.”
The newlyweds celebrated with guests at Oxford Hotel. “We loved the simpleness of our venue- it had simple exposed beams and most of all, great staff!”
Kira tells, “We personalised everyone’s name tag with two words describing what they mean to us.”
The couple danced their first dance to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson, the bride explaining, “Our first dance was extremely short and sweet – we just wanted everyone to join in and let the fun begin.”
