Choosing someone to make your wedding cake is one the most fun parts of the wedding planning. At A Little Bit Fancee Cristina helps you to decide on the flavours, style and design of your cake and then sets out to execute your wishes perfectly. She also makes gorgeous macarons and cupcakes and provides Cake Mail Tastings if you aren’t available for a cake tasting session. From semi naked cakes to ornate cakes with intricate sugar flowers or gold leaf, Cristina’s dedication to perfection shows her passion for her profession.
We asked Cristina of A Little Bit Fancee five questions in five minutes:
What is your favourite after five drink?
My favourite after 5 drink would definitely be a mojito. The combination of mint with so many other fruits and flavours makes it refreshing and fun! While on holidays in Bali recently, I may have tried almost every combination they had! Ha ha!
Your favourite weekend getaway?
Weekend getaways are pretty tricky as the majority of wedding cakes are delivered on the weekend but when I do get the opportunity, I love going to anywhere with a beach. I love Sorrento in winter or summer. It’s glorious!
Favourite restaurant?
Favourite restaurant would definitely have to be Squires Loft either at Nunawading or Albert Park. Love a perfectly cooked steak! They have a pretty good dessert too, if I do say so myself!! (I make the sticky date puddings and chocolate cakes! 😉
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Oh I love having a break from the kitchen on a Sunday and give my husband free reign in the kitchen. His French toast is always a winner or when my eldest makes buttermilk pancakes. They are definitely THE fluffiness and THE best!
Your favourite wedding story?
Well my favourite wedding story would have to be mine! Ha ha! We met at 19, he was my first serious boyfriend and I his first serious girlfriend. Married at 24 with a small intimate wedding with only 11 guests. We had a small reception at Donovan’s in St Kilda and it was the best. 12 years later, with 2 beautiful children, he is my rock and supports my business and helps me whenever he can. We all need a rock in our lives and he is definitely mine!
