Feel the need for a little something to sweep you away today? We have just the thing. This sweet shoot, captured by Amelia Soegijono, has us wanting to rush out to a seaside cliff and stand in the salty wind to wait for our perfect someone. Amelia explains that the inspiration for her windswept love story inspiration shoot came from the iconic “To me you are perfect” scene from “Love Actually”. “It is such a short quote, but so helplessly romantic! I thought, what a perfect way to silently speak to a bride to be for a first look! I had the simple, but so meaningful, quote calligraphed by the talented Teresa from Teresa Ling Calligraphy and had our model David, hold this sign up for his beautiful other half, Daniella. I wanted real life couple so that this styled shoot would be a beautiful experience for them, too.”

Their stunning model Daniella wore a stunningly detailed gown by Sara Aljaism, and her hair and makeup were styled by Yenn Xin. Amelia and Teresa teamed up with Paper Fleur Designs, who made the magnificent bouquet – each bloom lovingly created. Like real flowers, each bloom is unique; each petal cut, curled and cupped with love. These paper flowers are the perfect everlasting bouquet, and the best thing is that it will grace the bride and groom’s home forever!

The inspiration behind the shoot was the anticipation of the beginning the journey for a couple, and as such the idea of the “first look” and a different way to create this now so special moment for so many brides and grooms. “In the middle of the hustle and bustle of the wedding day, sometimes it’s so easy to get lost in the overwhelmed feeling and nerves of the day. Doing the first look helps to give space and time for the couple to refocus and immerse themselves in the love that they have for each other, the reason why everyone is there in the first place!” tells Amelia.
