Lauren & Rob

In the dense Victorian hinterland lies in wait the East Warburton Redwood forest, in all its rich, earthy glory. The location was the perfect spot for Lauren and Rob’s winter romance in the Redwoods engagement shoot. The tranquility of the forest, combined with the photographic expertise of Elleni Toumpas and the couple’s wonderfully palpable chemistry, made for a a truly romantic engagement session not to be missed.

The pair first met at the wedding of a mutual friend, where Rob was the MC and Lauren was kind enough to laugh at his bad jokes! Beautiful moments set against natural backdrops seem to be a running theme for the couple. Of their engagement, Lauren remembers, “We got engaged just outside Healesville. We went for lunch in town, and then a walk in the rainforest nearby. Rob proposed beneath the beautiful canopy, near the running water from the weir.”

“We really liked Elleni Toumpas, and thought that she would be perfect for our wedding,” Lauren gushes of their photographer. “As part of her package, she offers a complementary engagement shoot, which has the added benefit of a ‘rehearsal’ before the big day. We wanted to do something in a unique location around the Yarra Valley, which wasn’t far from where we got engaged. It was also a quiet spot that enabled us to relax more in front of the camera.”

Lauren loves Rob’s ability to stay in the present moment; the way he gives his full attention to the people that he is with, and the way he shows his care in simple everyday actions. Rob loves the way Lauren cares deeply about others, especially her family and closest friends, and how that caring nature is intermingled with a strong individual character. He also loves the way she sings to herself…
