I first fell in love with Alexandra Grecco when I spied her gorgeous tulle skirts that I loved for well…. wearing around the house. Her own experience with wedding gowns led Alexandra to launch her first bridal collection in 2014 and now, the Alexandra Grecco Fall Winter 2017 Collection, her fifth, a beautiful example of the dreamy romance that I have come to love about this designer.

Dreamy fabrics are a signature of Alexandra’s – think tulle skirts that seem to float, beautiful silks that melt like liquid. The new collection filled with modern shapes and silhouettes – asymmetrical necklines, two-piece gowns with crop tops and off the shoulder bows that create a sense that these are gowns for the modern bride who wants something so very feminine.

New Orleans set the scene for this campaign shoot – an old home with jewel tones in the French Quarter and the stunning Marigny Opera House chosen to complement the beauty of the gowns. Alexandra noting  “Every season I look forward to scouting locations and finding one in particular that embodies aspects of architecture that I love so much. This season we headed down to New Orleans to shoot our FW17 collection. To me, this is a city that has such a rich history and a strong sense of place, thanks in part to its unique architecture.”

Alexandra Grecco ships internationally via the website and is available in Australia at Helen Rodrigues.
