Focus On Style - Mismatched Groomsmen Trend

How could you possibly allow all your groomsmen’s personalities to shine when they are all dressed the same? 2017 is bringing back the mismatched groomsmen trend in full force.

The mix-match trend has been a popular choice for bridesmaids so why shouldn’t our dapper groomsmen follow suit.

To pull off the look without going overboard, pick a style or variations of a colour. This will give your groomsmen the chance to wear something they’re comfortable in without their outfits clashing. They might even have the perfect shirt already in their wardrobe waiting for a special day like this – and as an added bonus think of the money saved.

If your wedding has a rustic theme have your groomsmen dress in earth tones, ditch the jacket and opt for suspenders or a vest. If your wedding is a winter spectacular or more of a well-dressed occasion, mix it up by having your groomsmen wear different colour suits.

Don’t forget to accessorise! Your groomsmen might deserve a gift for standing by your side on this special day, maybe they organised an awesome buck’s night or maybe you’ve been best friends from the get-go; either way get them a little gift to say thanks. Ties, cufflinks, bow ties, socks and pocket squares are all great mementoes of the wedding. They also provide the perfect opportunity to add some colour and a finishing touch to each outfit.

Don’t let your bride have all the fun with choosing outfits! Express your own style with this mismatched theme for your groomsmen and make it a day to remember!

Ms Chinoiserie Says: I love the idea of groomsmen wearing “mis-matched” suits; tie the look together with the same coloured shirt, or even a waistcoat, for effortless statements in style!
