Bek & Wayne

With the gorgeous soft apricot colour tones of today’s nautical luxe Watsons Bay wedding captured by Kat Stanley beautifully complimenting the golden sunset, it’s no wonder today’s couple chose the stunning setting of a little bay by the water for their elegant celebration.

Bek chose a gown with peach tones from Hope x Page, telling “My dress was an ivory full skirt strapless lace gown with a peach tulle overlay. It was the third dress I tried on and I knew it was it straight away.”

Bek and Wayne chose Gibson Beach Reserve by the water for their ceremony, Bek noting “it’s a small grass reserve right on the beach at Watsons Bay with an amazing view.”

Bek walked down the aisle to “My Girl” by The Temptations.

Lisa Evans officiated the ceremony, the bride remembering “We both wanted an outdoor ceremony, and for it to be by the water. It was important to me to be married by someone close to our age. Lisa our celebrant did an amazing job, she told our story from when we met right up until our engagement. She captured our personalities and our relationship perfectly.”

The reception was styled with white blooms and a luxe nautical theme, the bride noting “Piccolo and Poppi did both ceremony and reception styling and the flowers for the day. They did an amazing job.”

Guests kicked off the evening celebrations with sunset drinks before dinner at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel. Bek telling “We had cocktail hour on the top deck at Watsons Bay Hotel followed by the reception in the Sunset room at Watsons Bay Hotel.”

Of their first dance, Bek remembers “We chose You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne. It made me smile whenever I heard it.”

Bek remarks “It was really important to us that our guests had a great time, we hired a bus so the didn’t have to worry about getting to and from the wedding. We made sure the was plenty of food and drinks for them to enjoy all night. And very importantly a great band, Marty from Reckless did an amazing job, he helped give the wedding the fun feeling we wanted. The dance floor was full all night long.”

The couple worked with Soda Films  to capture this fun film of the moments of their day.
