At Woods and Bloom, I am inspired by beautiful images of flowers – especially bouquets! I love that there are no rules now when it comes to bouquet colours and that photography styles currently range from soft and journalistic to light and moody and every shade in between!

If you would like a bouquet of classic white blooms with a twist of caramel and tan and a touch of silvery grey foliage – absolutely!  This image is by one of my favourite journalistic wedding photographers, Shae Estella Photography at Flaxton Gardens.

If you LOVE peonies but would like to add some wild textures – doable! This gorgeous connection below plus the florals is captured by Daria Bodman.

If you’d like rich coloured dahlias, roses and unruly foliage. Yes please! I love the composition, quality of light and real life depth of tone that Figtree Pictures have achieved with this image below at Earth House in Clunes.

And then you’re a photographer yourself (hello to Amanda from Peppermint Photography) so you live for shades and tones and a little sophisticated ombre classic cascade has your heart … I love this image below from Lover of Mine Weddings at Villa Rustica in the Byron Bay Hinterland.

To end this walk of the no colour rules for my bouquets/photographic inspIration, I have this recent bride’s choice; she loved vintage glamour and deep deep tones but wanted some wild textures in a city garden setting. Kristina Childs Photography captured an awesome candid shot Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.

Ms Chinoiserie Says: Stunning flowers and beautiful photography – what a wonderful inspiration! I love the romantic cascade bouquets!

About Woods and Bloom: Hi, I’m Cat! I developed my love of flowers from a young age. My maternal grandmother would lead me on morning tours of her garden to show me the new blooms that had appeared overnight; My current style still has links to my young tastes but has matured with a unique wild gardenseque woodland feel.
