Sarah & Andrew

How much do you love being by the water in Summer? Sarah & Andrew chose the stunning setting of Balmoral Beach as they celebrated their engagement. With photographer Jamie Murcutt behind the camera, Sarah and Andrew chose the place that was special to them, that signaled relaxation, weekends of fun and childhood memories. Sarah explaining “We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings of Balmoral Beach, a place where Andrew spent much of his childhood, growing up in the area. Since we started dating, Rocky Point island at Balmoral became our go to spot for weekend relaxation, walks, barbeques and picnics. Sarah is fond of natural, bohemian vibes and Jamie’s photography style suited our theme for the engagement shoot perfectly.”

“Everything” says Andrew, when asked what he loves about his future wife, adding “I love Sarah’s positive nature and she has a smile to light up my world.”

It was by the water that Andrew popped the question, Sarah remembering “Andrew popped the question with a classic down on one knee move during a late night walk along Manly esplanade. It seemed like an opportune time after some torrential heavy rain, and admittedly some heavy drinking at a birthday celebration attended earlier in the evening.”

On what she loves about Andrew, Sarah remarks “I love Andrew’s humble and kind nature and he makes me smile. I love that he shows great interest in Korean culture, learning the language and travelling Korea whenever we can make the journey there. Everything.”

Sarah tells of one of the funnier memories they share. “With our second anniversary fast approaching, I wanted to surprise Andrew with tickets to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I searched Google for ‘bridge climb’ and clicked one of the deals in the top results. The price was much less than expected, and so, after seeing several photos of bridge climbing action and city views on the website I went ahead and booked tickets with great enthusiasm, thinking it was a such a fantastic deal. When the tickets came through via email, I noticed it mentioning ‘Story Bridge’. I hadn’t heard it called the Story Bridge before and searched that term. I was shocked to discover I’d just booked two tickets to climb the Story Bridge in Brisbane! Time to search for some flight tickets!”
