Your wedding venue and the time of year of your wedding greatly influence the decor and style of the event – from your choice of dress right through to your flower bouquet. Today, the lovely Victoria Cleary, Head Flower Queen, at The Gathering Florist is inspiring us with five beautiful bouquets for five different styles of bride.
Retro/ Vintage Bride
Bianca wanted a retro and vintage style wedding. Her bouquet consisted of deep crimson David Austin Roses and small touches of spray roses. The bouquet was a classic round shape. It was sweet cluster of blooms to compliment her 1950’s inspired wedding.
I created a garden inspired bouquet and matching flower crown. The bouquet consists of loose foliage gum, olive branch and misty. Different tones of pink in different varieties of roses were used to create a “just picked from the garden” feel.
Sarah married her love in the middle of winter. We used copious amounts of foliage mixed with natives and pink David Austin roses. Flowers can be limited in winter but we think we found the perfect blooms for Sarah’s bouquet.
We had so much fun working on Nadine’s bouquet. We seriously used every variety of flower we could find at the market to create Nadine’s bouquet. The finished look was an overflowing abundance of foliage and flowers.
Ms Zigzag says: When it come to bouquets you can go big and wild or small and structured, one colour or many, plenty of foliage or all pretty flowers only. I love this bouquet inspiration from The Gathering Florist.
