It is so very rare that we get to celebrate snow here in Australia, so the endless white of today’s intimate snow-filled wedding editorial on Lake Mountain is pretty much a complete feast for the eyes.

Against the snow white backdrop our team worked to create a setting fit for a stunning winter elopement.

Photographer Rick Liston was enchanted by the destination of Lake Mountain Resort after visiting with his family; the fire-ravaged black forest trees a brilliant contrast to the white of the snow. He enlisted the help of styling team The Valley Collective and together they set about creating the most beautiful winter wedding inspiration.

Model Lydia Grant dressed in a beautiful long-sleeved lace gown by Kara Jade Design, styled with deep red lips and cascading waves by Reannah Stevens. Our groom, Kalan Logan was dressed in a deep blue Briggins suit with marsala bow tie. These deep berry tones were picked up with a beautiful floral crown and bouquet styled by Anouk Flowers.

The couple said their vows surrounded by candle-filled lanterns and Australian natives, before dining at a table set for two to celebrate their union. Rick tells, “I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful Lake Mountain is. The whole mountain was ravaged by the fires of Black Saturday which, in its wake, left a dense forest of magnificent dead trees. As we drove up higher and higher, the mountain ascended into the deep cloud and the dead trees soared up and disappeared into the white. I kicked myself for not bringing my camera. I had never expected it to look this magical. I knew immediately I had to do a shoot up there.”
