Saz and Kristy’s Tahiti Wedding in Paradise

Postcard-perfect with bright blue oceans, turquoise lagoons, and pristine white sandy beaches, The Islands of Tahiti offer the most magical setting imaginable for your special day.

WA couple Saz and Kristy spent the best day of their lives on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, just a stone’s throw from Moorea.

Their fairytale ceremony took place exactly 12 months after their engagement, and after 6 years together.

When considering where to tie the knot, the couple longed to be in a paradise that not only looked beautiful but also had an undeniable magic – and nowhere compared to The Islands of Tahiti.

Fully embracing the magic of *Mana found throughout Tahiti, Saz and Kristy chose to travel to The Islands of Tahiti alone, combining a very intimate wedding ceremony and their honeymoon in one trip.

Seeking assistance from a local wedding planner, wedOTahiti helped them find the perfect destination for their perfect wedding. The wedding planner organised everything for the couple from the ceremony, flowers, hair and make up, to transport. All Saz and Kristy needed to do was bring their wedding outfits and rings – and to remember their vows!

The couple’s enchanting ceremony took place on a tiny island just off Moorea. Scattered with flower petals and no one else in sight, Saz and Kristy made their promises in the most beautiful of surrounds.

The newlyweds then spent the afternoon relaxing on the deck of their overwater bungalow at the Moorea Sofitel with champagne before a private dinner on the beach at the edge of the lagoon in the evening. After an exquisite meal, the head chef created a pineapple brûlée dessert – a highlight for the newly married couple.

Reflecting on their wedding Saz said, “The Tahitian people have the kindest smiles, and the first languages of French adds the perfect romantic touch to your wedding stay. The islands are rich with culture and it was a truly magical place to marry the love of my life.”

*Mana is a Tahitian term and is the concept of magic within people, animals and inanimate object.

Ms Zigzag says: It sounds like the perfect day in paradise for Saz and Kristy, with nothing to focus on but each other and enjoying paradise – and that pineapple brûlée, yum!
