Summer’s here and with that hot days, Christmas and New Year celebrations, too much food and the smell of salty days at the beach. Based in Melbourne but with availability to travel, Sarah of Sarah Lea Cross has a lot of experience in vintage and modern makeup and is able to create a natural makeup look that is perfect for your wedding. Having done commercial work and hundreds of weddings, Sarah’s understanding of camera-ready looks – both with hair and makeup – will be such an asset to your wedding day. She highly recommends trials to discuss and play with the look you want for your day and is happy to do both your hair and makeup or one or the other. Sit back and enjoy!
We asked Sarah of Sarah Lea Cross five questions in five minutes:
What is your reward after a big working day?
Being a busy working Mum means that work usually feels like a nice lovely break from the madness of motherhood. So sometimes when I finish early I’ll take the scenic route home, wind down the windows, turn the music up loud and take my sweet, sweet time getting home. Haha. Failing that, gin!
Favourite weekend getaway?
Lake Taupo, NZ. Nothing fills up your cup like a dip in the most beautiful lake in the world and the best bit…nothing in the water will eat you!
What is your most prized possession?
Tiamos, Lygon St. Husband, lasagna, red wine. My idea of a perfect evening.
What do you most enjoy about being in the wedding industry?
The people I meet, I’ve stayed in touch and even become good friends with some of my brides. I’m lucky in that I get some really cool, like-minded, talented and creative brides and we have a really good time with the whole process. I love to keep up with their lives via social media, see the honeymoon pics, the baby announcements, the date nights. I feel super lucky to do what I do. I love my job!
