Tahlia & Tim
This classic Manjimup garden wedding combines rustic DIY signage with gorgeous hanging blooms and a beautifully oversized bouquet, plus a stunning French lace gown. We absolutely love every detail, with Stuart Holden sharing his images from the day.
Tim’s plans for a romantic proposal on the sand at his parents beach house were almost scuppered when Tahlia unwittingly decided she was very keen to get home! The bride tells, ”Tim asked if I would like to go for a swim, to which I replied how I would like to get home, as we had plans to catch up with friends that day. I had foiled his first plan, so he proceeded to suggest we should get a nice photo together, which was very odd as I am the one always wanting photos. He then said, ‘let’s get a photo with this!’ as he pulled a bag out from the meter box. It was very emotional, I was so excited! It was such a special day I will never forget, even if I did almost ruin it!”
Choosing a spot to hold their ceremony in the garden of 98 Memories was not simple. The bride recalls, ”We wanted to get married between the big row of trees as I have always loved that part of the garden. The whole garden is amazing! The reception was held at Tim’s parents house and we had a marquee set up on their tennis court. The whole set up exceeded our expectations.” The bride was walked down the aisle by her Father to the song ‘Bloom’ by The Paper Kits, and a poem was read during the service by one of Tahlia’s closest friends.
Adding to the gorgeous wedding blooms, the bride tells, ”My mum, my sister and I went out and picked lots of green foliage two days before the wedding. We chose seasonal white flowers, succulents, and corn flower hydrangeas for a pop of colour from Kisschasey Wedding Flowers. It was all put together so beautifully!” Wanting to add many DIY elements to the day, Tahlia shares, ”It was very hard work! We spent many hours up late at night but in the end it was all worth it, even my Grandparents were in on the action! I really wanted a ladder hanging from the ceiling of the marquee in front of the wedding table which we managed to achieve. It looked so beautiful and we had so many comments. My favourite details would be the arbor, and the bar and personalised wooden signs that my parents made. It was such a special personal detail and they did an amazing job.”
Tahlia recalls of their photographer, Stuart Holden, ”He was amazing from start to finish! He delivered 110 percent, he was amazing with the wedding party and also the guests. He went above and beyond and even helped us set up the night before. We honestly could not have done it without him, we hold him in very high regard.” Adding of their wedding creatives, ”All our vendors were amazing! They were the best team and we couldn’t be happier with the amazing people we chose to bring our dream wedding together.” The bride and groom chose to dance their first waltz as a married couple to ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur.
