Happy Monday Dotties! We’re well and truly into 2018 now and boy, isn’t it shaping up to be amazing?

There’s something about styling your first home together and choosing just the right pieces to create a style that is uniquely ‘yours’. Katie of The Wedding Nest bought the online wedding gift registry from the original owners a year ago and since then has introduced more beautiful pieces to the range. She has carefully chosen quality handmade and designer pieces so that you know each item will be a special piece to treasure. From leather chairs, to gorgeous bed linen, pendants and prints – each item is grouped under category or choose a style – contemporary, beach, French or eclectic. Katie brings a background of interior design and for Sydney couples she can provide a customised styling consult.

We asked Katie of The Wedding Nest five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite reward after a big working day?

Hopefully being able to tick a lot of items off my To Do list. Also definitely a nice glass of red and even a Magnum ice cream, mini of course!
Your favourite weekend getaway?

Terrigal on the central coast of NSW. It has great cafes and restaurants and beautiful beaches that are dog friendly which is a must for us. We have 3 dogs. Two boisterous pugs and one sweet little sensitive Jack Russell. Relatives have recently acquired a unit here which we can use whenever we choose which is fantastic.
What is your most prized possession?

Besides my electric blanket, my most prized possession is my engagement ring. It’s quite unique and I got a lot of comments from strangers, nice comments. My partner selected it himself which I love as he really knows me and he is very brave!
Favourite restaurant?

That is a tough one! So many to choose from. But I can’t go past Chiswick in Woollahra. The setting is gorgeous amongst the gardens and the slow cooked lamb is to die for.
What do you enjoy most about being in the wedding industry?

There are so many beautiful aspects to wedding, it’s quite special being a part of one of a couple’s best times of their lives! I also love seeing all the photos at the end and admiring everyone’s unique tastes.
