The beauty of ballet is one I hold close to my heart. Beautiful tutu skirts, pretty in pink toe shoes, the grace of moving with your body to create such beautiful shapes is one of the most beautiful art forms.
The romance, then, sets the scene for beauty when it comes to weddings and today’s ethereal ballet-inspired wedding inspiration shoot, the most stunning blend of the movement of ballet with the grace of handmade and natural elements.

Captured beautifully by Angus Porter  (with TopChois’ Production on video) and styled and coordinated by  Decorations by Jelena, our bride, ballerina Jasmine Penning takes centre stage with a ballerina bun and blush makeup by Michelle Cato, and a hand-painted silk gown designed by  Avari Couture Collection, perfect for dancing.

A hand-painted cake, created by Sugarpot with silk detail coordinated beautifully with the gown while deep indigo and gold painted invitations by Ratanji Rani added a touch of drama and pulled the shoot into a modern light. The table set with blush and cream flowers, tied with plenty of cascading ribbons – echoing the beauty of the ballet.

Jelena of  Decorations by Jelena telling “The inspiration for the shoot was purely movement. Movement in nature and in our man-made surroundings, natural fabric, a man-made gown, natural growth on man-made buildings.”

With movement at the core of this shoot, it had to be captured on video. TopChois’ Production created this film, which brought the beautiful concept to life.
