The whimsical, fun styling of the tropics is not what you would normally expect to see paired beautifully with the raw rock and cement of a building site, but today’s industrial style Palm Springs wedding inspiration makes me wonder where this combination has been!

The soft mint green, gold, wood and acrylic details of the elements this Brisbane design team pulled together give such a modern, fresh take on tropical styling and suits the hot, steamy climate of the Sunshine state is a concept that weaves its way through each of the carefully considered elements.

The team were inspired by the new growth of Spring, Eva of styling company Foreva Events telling “The look of this style brings together two extremes – raw industrial and soft elegance. This shoot was captured directly underneath the Story Bridge in Brisbane where the old Howard Smith Wharves are being developed into a beautiful new landmark. The style of this photoshoot emphasises the raw and rustic elements of exposed rock, metal and concrete, contrasting beautifully with the minimalistic elegance of transparent chairs, simple greenery and soft textiles. The transparent elements create an elegant look and direct attention towards the exposed rock backdrop and the metal and mint features of the style. The metal, geometric cocktail furniture ties in with the metal arbour of the ceremony and the emerald and mint textures of the ottomans and cushions bring a soft aesthetic to the overall style. Stone coloured textiles bring cohesion between the reception setting and the ceremony backdrop, while the glass candle holders bring transparency and height to the table setting.”

Foreva Events teamed up with photographer Cloud Catcher Studio and cinematographer Allan Klimo at the building site of Howard  Street Wharves. Brisbane Sound Group worked to provide an interesting an unexpected take on a ceremony arbour, that was matched with clear ghost chairs from Brisbane Wedding Decorators.

The tablescape of wooden textures from  AVIdeas and greenery, beautifully complemented by a bar area of white furniture and translucent green glassware and a final elegant nod to tropic styling added with a cake by  Vanilla Pod.

Our glam bride and groom, were made over by Lujo Hair and Makeup and wore pieces from  White Lily Couture. and Wil Valor. Both are styled to reflect the elegant, modern vibes.
