With Italy being celebrated in all its romantic glory this month, this gorgeous shoot featuring a modern twist on old school Italian romance is wedding inspiration at its best!
With Dancing & Dessert at the helm of styling and planning and photographer Ali Bailey capturing every detail, every considered touch created a superb display of Italian style. The stylist says, ”Growing up in Melbourne I’ve always been surrounded by Italian culture, everything from the food, language and style, and I wanted to pay homage to that whilst mixing it with fresh and modern elements. Fresh and intoxicating, our colour palette saw yellow mixed with crisp greens and whites for a fun take on a classic look that felt summery and fresh, whilst still reflecting the Italian sensibility of simple elegance.”
The venue, Fargo & Co, was chosen for its mix of old and new design, while the table was laden with fresh citrus and bright and natural blooms in an organic style from Stems From Her. Elegant and crisp stationery from Beacon Lane finished the table with romantic simplicity.
Of models Erin Langmaid from Neon Model Management and Nathan Smith, our stylist shares, ”Our dark haired beauty of a bride was absolutely stunning, in an array of dresses from The Bridal Atelier, ranging from both elegant and sexy to playful and young. Her makeup and hair was done by the talented Jeda Vu Makeup Artistry, whilst our handsome groom was beyond charming in a classic black suit before slipping into a more relaxed ensemble by Formal Red Suit Hire.” The grooms hair was styled by Beef’s Barbers.
A breathtaking bright white cake from Mad About Cakes was adorned with delicate ruffles and was consumed with celebratory bubbles. The bride and groom were captured beautifully outdoors with floating white balloons by Burnt Butter Cakes, while the reception was styled with items sourced from the ever stylish Harry the Hirer.
With so many talented creatives working together to display the beauty of Melbourne and its Italian feel, we adore the outcome!
