Matty & Elisha

It was a  beautifully sunny day in Western Australia’s Exmouth Bay when Elisha popped the question to his future husband. The groom to be had spent much time planning the perfect proposal, crafting a day trip to the beautiful region, a friend to be ready and waiting with a camera and a snorkelling trip with an engagement ring. All there was to do, was for Matty to say yes. Elisha explains, “I’d been organizing it for quite some time. Without him finding out, we and a couple of our good friends went up to Exmouth as I knew it’s one of Matty’s favourite places so I knew that it’s the place to pop the question. While we were snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of the coral reef, I swam down deep and pretended that I’d found something. Opening the box under the water – AN ENGAGEMENT RING!
We then floated up to the top of the water and I asked him, “will you marry me?” He said, “YES”. It felt like we were in a whole other world under the sea and it was absolutely magical!”

And it was at sunset, in the beautiful location of Cape Peron, that these newly engaged lovebirds, joined photographer Zoe of Ebony Blush Photography for a seaside picnic and a little commemoration of their magic moment.

On what he loves about Elisha, Matty tells “I love his strong spirit, that he is not afraid of change and he is always taking me on adventures.”

“I love everything about Matty” shares Elisha. “He is sweet, gentle and always positive. He is just the best person to talk to if you’re having problems. I love him, I love him, I love him!”
