How good is a picnic with your besties? Is there really any better way to celebrate your favourite ladies than dining on sweet treats, sipping Champagne and pouring tea into fine china? I think not! The team behind today’s editorial agrees, as they’ve put together a boho bridal picnic with elegant flair.

Led by Silk & Bubbles (who also was the lady behind the fun, floral, getting-ready robes and jam-packed hamper boxes) with photographer Sonja C Photography, the team took to garden venue Gardens on Forest and created a picnic setup fit for only the finest of celebrations. With signage from Ashdown & Bee, prop hire by Exquisite Events by Diana and rugs and cushions supplied by NPM Events, the table was laid with vintage flower china and cut-crystal glassware from The Vintage Kitchen. Keeping with the lush colour scheme, the table was adorned with a stunning red and pink floral garland by Fleurdom plus sugary sweet treats and cake by Puddles The Cake Company (what better mix is there than cupcakes and roses?)

Photographer Sonja tells, “The vibe was all about a gorgeous bridal party celebrating their friendship and enjoying a fine afternoon in the garden. Flower crowns, cupcakes, silk robes, vintage tea-ware and of course, bottomless rosé were aplenty.”

Our bride and her tribe, in their floral robes, donned fresh flower crowns, created by Sierra Blooms with fresh beauty looks of loose waves and pink lips styled by Gemma Nichols Hair & Makeup. The finishing touch were Little White Couture sashes and Fairina Cheng Jewellery that added a little extra something special.

Sonja explains, “With a current trend for rustic picnic setups, outdoor cinemas and platter catering, the idea behind this shoot was to create a boho bridal picnic which would fall into a rustic and boho yet still elegant category. An outdoor bridal picnic was also the perfect way to celebrate our love for summer, flowers and outdoor events on the lawn.”
