I adore a good margarita on a Friday night. Something about the tart citrus flavour, and the salted rim of the glass is so delicious.
We’re twisting a classic margarita recipe with the use of blood oranges. Not only do they have that vibrant red tone, but their richness of flavour adds a decadent, complex layer to this old favourite.
- 30ml Tequila
- 15 ml Solerno blood orange liqueur
- 60ml blood orange juice
- 5ml lime juice
- Pinch of sugar
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, Solerno blood orange liqueur, blood orange juice, lime juice and sugar.
Rim your glass with salt and lime juice.
Over plenty of ice, pour your margarita.
Garnish with blood orange slices.
