Give me a proposal filled with sweetness, fresh flowers and love letters and you have my heart and it is exactly this.

Photographer  Anna Murray Photography pulled it out of her hat, collaborating with stylist and floral designer Lilac of Upside Down Events to make a special kind of magic for Sharlyn and Joel. The groom to be explaining “I actually planned this engagement with some friends but the plan fell through. Thankfully, Lilac and Anna were there to save the day. We planned, and I secretly created a perfect day for Sharlyn where we went to The Grounds in Sydney for brunch as she likes farmer markets and things like that. Dressed the both of us up in white and khaki as that what she loves to see me wear and surprise surprise I proposed!!”

So today, let us take you into a secret garden and tell the tale of a couple who are ready to begin an exciting new adventure.

These two have always been friends, Joel explaining “We were friends initially and we went out a few times here and there. One day I actually decided to message Sharlyn once again on Facebook as I saw a really cute picture of her. After which we found out that we both had really similar ideals and that we would actually wanna spend the rest of our lives together:)”

“I actually chose the setting for the proposal and somehow the weather held up as there were dark clouds passing. The skies cleared up and everything just fell into place” tells the groom to be. “Lilac actually helped quite a bit as I told her I would like a big tree in the area and some privacy. She actually was able to book the residence at Centennial Park.”

On what he loves about his future wife, Joel tells “I love the way Sharlyn is such a woman of character. She’s steadfast in her beliefs and that’s something I love very much. Also, she takes time to understand that we do need the personal touch. She’s always holding me and hugging me especially when I’m down. To be able to feel the comfort of home in her embrace is such a blessing.”

Of their photographer, Joel remarks “Anna is a really friendly and accommodating photographer. She plans her shots well and she comes prepared. I honestly didn’t know that there such brilliant shots were taken as we are actually a very shy couple and even though she didn’t know us, she really allowed us to be comfortable as she saw these amazing pictures through her lens. She captures the smiles behind great stories and I am forever grateful for her help on the very special day!”
