How we met:

Tim and I were introduced through a mutual friend. She basically thought we would be great for each other and we met for the first time and have been inseparable ever since!

How he asked:

It all began with my best friend Nicky turning up to my work with a card on Valentine’s Day. The card had a message in it from Tim saying, “Angie, I’ve arranged the day off for you with Dawn and there will be a car picking you up at 10:30 am SHARP!”. Off we went, feeling rather excited and confused, we proceeded to get in a luxury car, giggling to each other, wondering what was actually going on! We were told by the chauffeur that we were going on a “scenic drive” of Sydney Harbour.

As we approached a stunning vantage point overlooking Sydney there was a young beautiful lady holding a red rose (who I now know was Tania from ‘my proposal co’). The car stopped and she asked for my name and told us to follow her and wait by a fence. We were given strict instructions to not look around the corner. At this point, I thought Tim and Nicky’s husband had arranged a really nice lunch for us for Valentine’s Day and we both still had no idea what was going on.

We were given the okay to go around the corner and as I turned, I noticed my goddaughter, Nicky’s husband, Edie my close friend, my Mother, Father and Sister all standing in a line, each holding a red rose. I finally realised what was actually going on as soon as I noticed Tim was standing there with another red rose – next to a singer with her guitar, singing one of our favourite songs ‘kiss me’.

I walked down hugging and kissing all of my closest family members and friends, each of them handing me a rose until I got to Tim. He got down on one knee and proposed to me under a cherry blossom tree, with candles, pictures, and flowers surrounding us. I, of course, said yes.

But wait, there’s more!!! As I was walking down collecting each rose from my closest friends and family, I noticed a film crew and a TV host recording everything. My whole proposal was LIVE on national TV across Australia!

My proposal was incredibly special. I felt completely blown away by the whole experience and the best thing about this, is that we will always be able to look back on this day and retell the story to our children and even show them the televised footage! Thank you to my amazing fiancé and to my proposal co. for exceeding anything I could have ever expected.
