Vendor of the Week – Leah S Designs

by | Blog News, Bride

Happy Monday Dotties! We are slowly winding down for Easter and getting excited for a few days of food, wine and all the chocolate!

April is the month of Easter, some extended days off (yes!!), and ANZAC Day. Time to celebrate the good things about our lives in Australia,  with family and friends, and extra time to have a think about choosing the vendors for your wedding.  Our Polka Dot Directory is filled with vendors who love what they do! We have Celebrants, we have Jewellers, we have Transport and Flowers – we even have Venues and Styling & Hire! Wedding vendors who are creative and talented to give your wedding flair!

Check out the Polka Dot Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

When we think bridal gowns we often think high prices. But it needn’t be so, as Leah S Designs proves. Gowns from $350 to $2500 with layby options make paying for your gown easier on your wallet, and best of all gowns from sizes 4 to 34 may be purchased at this Hallam, Victoria, boutique. With friendly, down to earth assistants, Leah and her girls will help you choose from bohemian styles, to ballgown styles to all over lace. Coupled with accessories such as veils, jewellery and shoes they will help you put together the perfect look for your wedding day with no stress and a whole lot of fun!

We asked Leah at Leah S Designs five questions in five minutes:

What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?

Do things your way. Take advice from people and then just do what you want anyway. If you want to pay for a stylist for you wedding go for it, some times older people don’t understand the way things are done these days. If I listened to peoples’ advice I wouldn’t have my business.
If someone is wanting to help pay for parts of the wedding, accept with kindness. Last and final advice is to choose the bridesmaid’s dress that suits the largest size of your bridal party first and go from there.

Tell us about a hidden talent you have?

My amazing cooking skills, home renovating (I’m very good at supervising tradesmen and always make them lots of coffees), sometimes I can read minds, it’s not that strange, I just pick up on peoples’ energy.

As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?

I’m not usually there for the wedding day, but I really love when I get photos of the day emailed to me or tagged photos on social media.

What are you known for?

I was reading a review for Leah S Designs the other day and it really gave me the best compliment by saying we were an honest store. Of course we have amazing dresses at the best prices around, you have to, to last in such a competitive business. I would also say all the girls at Leah S are real, we are not snobs. We love to have a laugh and some fun when you come in store.

If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?

Trolls, Moana, Frozen and Equestria girls are the sound tracks to my life right now.
