Bec & Tim

Bec and Tim stole my heart today, as they planned a day that was filled with utterly beautiful style. With a chic black and white colour palette, a refined choice of decor and all your favourite modern, on point touches (hello neon sign!), they hired Jason Corroto to capture a day that was a contemporary take on classic, but more importantly, was very much their own personal style.

“The look I was trying to achieve was modern/contemporary while maintaining classic and timeless style,”  tells Bec, the couple choosing beautiful textured blooms that tied their classic church venue and industrial reception setting together in the most beautiful of ways. Cannot wait to share how their day unfolded!

Bec travelled to Melbourne to purchase her stunning Chosen By One Day gown, explaining

“I wasn’t the girl who had any idea about what they wanted their wedding dress to be, but I kept seeing all of One Day’s beautiful dresses coming up on my Instagram, I knew I had to go to Melbourne to try them and I am so glad I did, the ladies there were so helpful and amazing, they made the whole process so easy, nothing was too hard. The dress was custom made from two different styles. I wanted a modern feel to the dress, no lace and a sleek style – it turned out perfect!” Her bridesmaids wore elegant black gowns which they had custom made.

Bec and Tim chose St Peter’s Chanel Church, Hunters Hill for their ceremony, telling  “We got married in a beautiful old sandstone Catholic church in Hunters Hill. The priest was from the local church where my grandparents attend Mass every Sunday and he actually baptised me many years ago, so it was nice to have him as part of our wedding. Having a connection with the priest made everything a lot more relaxed and not as formal as your traditional church wedding.”

Of their photographer, the bride raves “Jason was absolutely amazing. Jason’s approach to photography was exactly what we needed – natural, unobtrusive and super chilled. Tim is very camera shy, but Jason made us feel so comfortable and every photo seemed very effortless, we would sometimes forget he was even there capturing pictures! Which was great, as we look back on our photos and they are real moments and pure happiness. We are beyond happy with the way our photos have turned out.”

Bec and Tim chose harbourside venue View by Sydney for a grand sit down reception dinner, it was completely reflective of her and Tim and their life together. She explains “I had never dreamt about my wedding day or what I wanted it to look like, so when I started planning originally, it was all a bit daunting. I am however quite confident in my personal style, and what we like as a couple, so it was easy to apply the same things to different aspects of the wedding day. My favourite part of wedding planning was eventually seeing everything come together and the vision in real life, I could not have been happier with everything at the wedding, everything was exactly how I had pictured it, all thanks to our wonderful vendors and suppliers.”

The newlyweds adorned their reception with a custom neon sign by Sketch & Etch. Bec noting “I loved our custom “The Lamberts” neon sign. It was something different and I hadn’t seen it at any weddings I had been to before. It now sits in our lounge room and is a great reminder of the wedding day.

Bec and Tim could not speak more highly of their chosen florist Hanako Floral Designs, sharing

“Hanako from Hanako Floral Designs was the BEST! I could not have been happier with how the flowers turned out. I had a big focus on flowers for the wedding as I love them. The bouquets were unstructured and wild and a mixture of textured whites and greenery. We gave Hanako a few inspiration photos and she knew exactly how to make the vision come to life.”

“The look I was trying to achieve was modern/contemporary while maintaining classic and timeless style” tells Bec. “Beautiful textured whites and lush greenery with black accents to the styling. For the reception, we had hanging floral installations which really brought the room to life. We tried to create a relaxed and fun party atmosphere for all our guests from start to finish with less formality – more party!”

It was Tim who decided upon the first dance, choosing Talking Head’s “This Must Be The Place” for the newlyweds to make their dance floor debut.

Thank you to you both Bec and Tim for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us! And a big thank you to Jason Corroto for sharing today’s beautiful day with us!
