Happy Monday Dotties! We’re back for another week jam-packed full of gorgeous weddings!
Are you enjoying The Green Issue? I’m hoping that we’ve given you lots of ideas that inspire you to go at least a little bit ‘green’ if not at your wedding, then in your everyday life! Now’s a great time to a look at our Polka Dot Directory filled with eager vendors!! We have Hair & Beauty, we have Entertainment, we have Bridal Gown Services and Styling & Hire – we even have Transport and Mobile Bars & Drinks Catering!
Check out the Polka Dot Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!
How does a 70-year-old tear drop caravan pulling up to your wedding venue sound? Not only cute as a button but filled with coffee and the trimmings – even dairy milk alternatives, Pookie May or her brother Pookie Ray arrive in style. Supplying good coffee (yes, we Victorians are fussy with our coffee) Pookie May can also be a cake shop, a bar or a tea house – or whatever else you can think of! Pookie Ray with his good looks is also an asset to your wedding, with his sleek lines – and he could be transformed into a gin or whiskey bar, or he could be commandeered as the gathering spot for after ceremony refreshments. Committed to being single-use free – both the Pookies are also environmentally friendly – no straws or paper cups here at your wedding!
We asked Mary at Pookie May & Pookie Ray five questions in five minutes:
What is the most important piece of advice you can give to engaged couples?
Planning is essential. Mapping out each detail of your special day, and entrusting this with a wedding planner makes it less stressful. We work closely with wedding planners and they know the ins and outs and the do’s and don’ts to make the day run smoothly.
Tell us about a hidden talent you have?
I somehow manage to incorporate ‘Espresso Martinis’ into almost every dinner party, celebration or get together!
As a vendor, what excites you about the wedding day?
I love seeing the individual styling of each wedding which gives me some insight into the Bride and Groom’s personality.
I also love meeting the guests, they are always super happy on these special days.
What are you known for?
It is well known that I love hugs…and Free Hugs are often included on our menu board! I find it fascinating how many people take us up on this!
If you could choose a song to play for the rest of your life what would it be?
SO many options, but I would choose James Vincent Mcmorrow’s version of Higher Love!
